I'm Maxime Monrat, a multidisciplinary experience designer in Montréal, QC. I create interfaces that resonate with users, focusing on both functionality and emotional engagement. Accessibility is a core principle of my user-centered projects. I am passionate about the transmission of information, whether through comprehensive and playful interfaces or through communication and teaching.
With my programming background, I bridge the gap with developers to ensure smooth design hand-off and effective communication.
My skills also include CG art, programming, music and sound design providing a unique holistic approach to my work.
What I do

- I lead the design of multi-modal interfaces for projects intended to be experienced in Virtual Reality, mobile, desktop, or physical spaces.
- I create design systems that account for entropy, ensuring they remain relevant and scalable throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- I conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and refine designs based on real user feedback.
- I develop immersive experiences that blend storytelling with interactivity, aiming to create memorable and impactful user journeys.
- I use game design and psychology to connect with users on various levels, from individuals to communities.
- I teach creative thinking, helping teams think outside the box and step out of their comfort zones with confidence.
- I create procedural objects, which can be 3D, textures, or sound. Life happens when random elements collide with predictable behaviors.
